The 5th AO NANG INTERNATIONAL OFFROAD 2019 EVENT
The ultimate of off-road legend in the South of Thailand. Ao Nang Offroad Club by "Kaman Arli Air" in collaboration with Krabi Province, Ao Nang Sub-district Administrative Organization, Ao Nang Landmark Walking Street, Wattanaphat Hospital Ao Nang And Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Krabi Office, Organized a four-wheel drive racing in stye of off-road adventure international off-road battle " The 5th AO NANG INTERNATIONAL OFFROAD 2019 EVENT" between 15 - 17 February 2019 at the main tracks in Landmark Walking Street Ao Nang near the beach Aonang and the small forest at Khao Kaew hill beside Ban Ao Nang School. The objective of the competition were promote tourism for many beautiful places in Krabi province and stimulate the economy of Ao Nang Sub-district, connecting the relationship of all off-road members in the country and making a reputation for the Ao Nang Offroad competition at the international level.
The competition were divided into 4 categories: 1. Super Open Category 2. Jungle Open Adventure Category 3. Simple Open Adventure Category 4. Light Core Category. There were 2 countries participants in the competition including Malaysia and Thailand. The number of all cars competed in a total of 51 teams from all regions of Thailand. Many teams had skilled at the front row popular of Thailand offroad competitors as in Offroad Trophy Thailand Champion Event, Magnificient Ten Event, Champion from Lao PDR, Champion from Vietnam Event such as the latest Thailand Championship Car No. 117 Sakuna Boonpuek / Suriya Petchsuth Team PTT Perferma Pattaya Club MT and the level Champions from Malaysia join in 9 teams including Team Johor Extreme, Team 7 Café Kuala Lumpor, Team KL Motor Sport, Team LC Houz and Team Mat Rock.
The rules and regulation of the competition used the same rules as the Thailand Championship mixed with the local rules, with "Kaman Arli Air" acting as competiton manager, "Roj Gaoean" boomerang Trang Club, Rescue Off Road Suratthani, Phrasaeng Offroad, Bang Tong Off Road were a network of Southern clubs serve as the marshals, "Chavalit Fuckaew" acting as commentator and "Orawan Rattanaphan" acting as controller competition scores.
This year, two alternate races in 2 places, First place the main tracks of competiton were Ao Nang Landmark Walking Street for a double lane tracks competition model that competes in simultaneously using speed through offroad obstacles such as alternating hills, alternating pit, flying hill, short curves, long curves, all dangerous and having four deep ponds. The Great challenging and exciting were thriller traps at the main track competition of SS single release race ,there had a giant cement pipe that compels every off-road vehicle must climb, jump and cross back. This main track competition place had a day and night competition from day time until 9 p.m. at night . Total 5SS of all categories competed at Ao Nang Landmark Walking Street in 3 days which it had some competitor teams missing by accident cars overturn, some cars suspension broken down to sacrifice to Ao Nang Landmark Walking Street tracks.
As for the second place 5SS off-road challenging and exciting competition tracks of all categories were at beside Ban Ao Nang School Khao Kaew hill although this year's obstacles no deep mud ponds but it had small hill traps up and down, short steep cliffs, long steep cliffs, looking the most dangerous and full of narrow curves, squeeze the car body in every corner and made the car flip or overturn upside down. All competitors had to adventure with big root trees, big log and big stones. Both Thailand and Malaysia offroad competitors had to using the skills and experience driving offroad and using a variety of off-road equipment especially the skill of using winch by man and machine had to be unique one. The competition in Khao Kaew hill had fighting in toughly endured and tired from the morning until more than at mid night every day. There had many teams car overturn upside down, suspensions and engines brokdown sacrifice to Da To king of the jungle in Khao Kaew hill. But we must praise the heart of all offroaders Thailand and Malaysia, they had hardcore heart never give up until the end of the competition.
Therefore, cars and machine who are more durable and made the least mistakes in the two places competition and two forms of off-road fighting. It could be able to prominently reach to the champions. This is the ultimate off-road racing in the natural forest tracks and it is the only one place in Thailand that close to the city and close to beautiful clear water nature of Andaman sea in level of world class touring place and including many beautiful tourist attractions in Krabi Province.
