for the SUN 6" lift i have never heard lar

popular here we have BTV 6" and Unicorn 5"

also i have no idea with those products so please wait for others one who knows....



P.S. For Thai Pajaro Drivers,this guy from SG he has so many technic and knowledge to develop pajero.As i know his style is quite hard core coz the geography there in Malay and he accumulates a lot of useful knowledge .


anyway i have less time to surf net but still alive and online hahaha

       Thank you all for the warm welcome. Thailand will always be Land of Smiles for me. I always feel very happy when I am in Thailand.

Ruj - Your cat looks really cute. Shirley, my cat is 13yrs old now. Still very healthy and naughty.

Richthofen-Weather here just turned cooler. Last month we experienced erratic weather conditions where it continued to rain heavily over 2 weeks.

Duang-Do you have any contact or website for the 6" BTV kit? Are the torsion bars hanging low or tucked high up? I've attached a picture for the Sun 4x4 6" lift kit. Thanks.

       Why's SUN. Don't you try on Unicon. Total lift up with that Kit, All suspension will lift up high 4-6" as you wish. It mean car stability and toe,camber,cluster angle as same as lower.

we have at least two cars lift up with that kit.

       Hi จาก von Richthofen. Thanks for the reply and recommendation. I find the Unicorn lift kit unsuitable as the torsion bars hang too low. Take a look at this Sun kit. The torsion bars are tucked nicely high up:

       Hi Lester,

I'm not a Pajero driver but L200 Starda 2800. As K. Von recommended, I also use the Ultimate lift kits now are made by Unicorn here in TH. One of the ugly things like you said is lower torsion bar but is not a problem at all for me.
I'm lifting 4" suspension + 3" body lift totally 7" and used 33"x12.5/15 and during trip I used 35x10.5/16 with out any problem.

For Sun kits, when you drive fast is not stable but for Ultimate/Unicorn I’m driving fast (120-140KM/hr) and everyday used.

I thinks Pajero/strada is same frame structure.

       some ugly thing has a hidden meaning.

Lower torsion bar it means the lower arm set as the same angle. Front axials are not over bent or easy to loosen joint during off road.

Thanks for the reply and pictures. Seems like you and your friends had alot of fun during that trip across that mud pool. As well as those SJ410s and 413s in another web board. How come a few Stradas had the canvas infront of the front grill? Is this to prevent the mud from pouring into the radiator and choking it up? What is that old pick up model from the link? Is it a Bedford? When you say unstable for the Sun kit, do you mean vibration at steering wheel at high speed or when doing cornering at high speed., the car will swerve from side to side? The problem with the Ultimate kit when used here is the torsions bars usually get bent when we go for hardcore trips. I have tried to help a Montero Sport in the US to do the installation for the Sun kit and he did not have any problem even at high speed. There was alot of modifications though as the frame work is of a V46 model.

Do you mean with the Sun kit, it is easy for the CV joints to dislodge and the CV shafts angle are too steep?

       One more thing I am looking for. Does anyone know if anyone in Thailand manufactures PU fenders for the Pajero LO series? Those wheel arch/fenders just above the tires? I can easily get fiberglass ones in Malaysia but they crack upon impact.

       yes indeed, CV joints to be worn by step of shafts angle. sooner or later you may be lost in mud.

There are no brand new PU fender for LO in BK . I never crack fiberglass fender. Be surely check that the upper and lower arm's stoper is stiil on good condition before trip.


My wheel was jump up but fenders were OK.

       Hi Lester,

Yes, it prevents the mud to the radiator. This mud created lot of heat most of cars is damage by raised up of heat. My car is damage by oil/vacuum pump crack and engine has no pressure.

The old model is 4D56T and they're modified a lot, you cannot see the face of old Mitsubishi.

You’re right, when cornering a high speed is swerve from side to side, while ultimate is not.

My experiences on cornering during raining, I’ve got the accident by turn around 180 degree with 110Km/hr on cornering with out turn over. This may be I increasing one more choke-up each side.
My Torsion bar never bent after hardcore trip or racing, I used to jump and my left axle is loosed only.
